What We Do To Make Your Pond Look Beautiful Again In The Fall
The Fall Pond Maintenance Plan includes:
Pond Netting
Typically, this is done before the leaves turn color in early fall. In order to keep leaves out of your pond, Our pond experts install a temporary frame with a net. The net will be removed before the first heavy snowfall.
Pond Cleaning
Prior to the winter season, this will allow the pond's bottom to be cleared of accumulated debris such as muck and fish waste. During the winter months, these pollutants can build up and harm or kill fish.
The Fall Pond Cleaning Process Includes:
- Draining the pond to six inches of depth
- Putting the fish into containers of pond water, then draining the water
- Debris is removed from the bottom by power washing
- Cleaning all necessary components, such as filter pads, skimmer, and pump
- Adjusting rocks as needed
- If necessary, add a de-chlorinator to the pond, and reintroduce fish
We can also fertilize potted plants or divide and repot them for an additional fee.
